The OXID e-Shop system supports the Open ID registration and login method. However, several shop-owners have buyer-groups that do not subscribe to Open ID, in which cases it can be deactivated in the shop’s Admin-area. Its activation is controlled by checkbox under Master Settings > Core-Settings > Settings.
Login to /admin first and follow the steps from image below.

Private Sales are a great way to restrict your shop to a selected group of members who have pre-registered. This is a great feature for example if you are running a B2B shop and would prefer to expose offers only to pre-registered members.
